Variations in Concrete Appearance

Stamped Concrete

For those looking to mimic wood, flagstone, or other expensive materials without breaking the bank, stamped concrete is the best option for you. Similar to an actual ink stamp, we press your unique pattern into the wet concrete leaving behind a beautiful impression.

Colored Concrete

Colored concrete is another great option for those looking to keep the smooth surface of poured concrete but add an extra ‘wow’ factor. With colored concrete, we add the natural pigments directly into the concrete to ensure that if a chip was ever to occur on the concrete surface, it would still retain its colored appearance.

Textured Concrete

For those looking for a more subtle appearance, textured concrete is the best option for you. Similar to stamped concrete, Goodmanson Construction’s team applies a slate-like texture over the newly poured concrete. However, unlike stamped concrete, textured concrete mimics natural slate in soft, muted tones.

Exposed Aggregate Concrete

For those looking for the natural beauty and appearance of real river stones, exposed aggregate is an excellent addition to any business. We pour the concrete as normal but then apply a special retardant to showcase the exposed stones after the curing process has finished.

Important Variation Information

When choosing a color for colored/decorative concrete, keep in mind that the color samples shown are an approximation of the final concrete color of the finished concrete. Concrete has a natural variation in appearance similar to marble, granite and wood.

The in-place concrete will be affected by the concrete mixture, materials selected, finishing techniques, curing and sealing methods and weather conditions. Final in-place concrete will NOT look exactly like samples.
